Review: Power of a Praying Wife

June 30, 2010

If you have read majority of my articles, you will find that I always speak of prayer.  That is because no one comes to the Father except through Jesus.  How do we get there?  Only through prayer and worship. This is how our request are made known.

When praying for your spouse it’s difficult to think of the many situations that may occur.  This is why I highly recommend The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian. Of course, this book is written from a Wife’s Perspective!  In this book, Stormie gives several different areas to focus on; such as work, choices, affection, temptation, fatherhood, & etc.  Each chapter is fairly short and ends with a prayer on how to pray for your husband.  There is also a section for yourself.  Additionally, I recommend the mini book that just has several short prayers.

Now, I’ve read through this book once already and I’m reading it again because this book is not a one time read.  It is something that will help you run in such a way as to get the prize for your marriage (emphasis added).

P.S. Do not think she forgot about the wives!  She also wrote The Power of a Praying Husband, get this for your husband because these books are a must have!
